  1. Such dramatic pictures! The colors in the last two, of evening on the lake, are startlingly beautiful.

    I can imagine someone in the the house in the picture that’s buffered with stones and covered in sod, the wind whipping overhead, sitting by a crackling fire spinning, knitting, telling stories of how iceland was formed.

    How old are the spindles and whorls in the museum?
